    Bondia!

I have added a link to the Colegia de Sao Jose site to the East Timor Law Journal. If you would like to see it, please go to the home page and navigate to the Directory. If you have any problems locating the link, please let me know.

I hope your site grows with more news and images. I also hope that all the college students and staff have been safe from the recent troubles.

    Best regards

    Dear all,

It’s me flavio simoes. I graduated in 2003 from Sao Jose. now I am studying in london, at Westminster University on BA International Relations and Politics along with other timoreses.

I am very pleased to find out you guys online as I was longing to get connected with you, I understand that now Sao Jose is facing another difficult time as an implication of the unbalanced political situation in Timor, but we all have to learn from this moment, take it as a starting point, study about it, scrutinize it and hopefully we are all together will buit another better new Timor in the foreseeble future by eradicating the poverty, lliteracy and bringing up our social life to the civilised level.

remember failure is a procrastinated success.

Viva sao jose (ad maiorem dei gloriam)

    Flavio Simoes

Hello! I am a US citizen with a Brazilian wife and family and we have an opportunity to live and work in Timor-Leste. I have two teenage children still living with me, aged 15 and 16. The elder speaks English and Portuguese whilst the younger is only really fluent in Portuguese. Do you think it would be feasible for them to study here?
The site provides no contact details to the school – does anyone have a phone number/email??

Hi Robert, am not sure but well one of my senior when she first got into St. Joseph College high she was also only fluent in English and Portuguese and she still managed to do really good job there. The teachers there are willing to help the students in many ways including language barier. What i can suggest is that, just visit the school once you get there and try to talk with the school director, Fr. Eduard, SJ. explain about your children’s situation, and you can figure it out whether or not St. Joseph high would be a right choice for both of them. St. Joseph is a right place for students who want to explore more things in this life and not only in academic. but we also have Portuguese school in Dili and your children can get into that school as well, so i suppose that it’s not gonna be a problem for your children to study in East-Timor.

Wishing you and your family have a wonderful experience there.
